Client background
Zvalbard is a place for people who take ownership in complex technical environments and want to help shape solutions built to last. We believe in freedom with responsibility, in aligning individual ambitions with company goals, and in long-term partnerships where trust is earned through delivery.
We operate at the intersection of security, infrastructure, data, and software engineering. This has shaped how we think, how we work, and the assignments we choose to take on. For us, it's not about quick fixes or passing trends, but about building stable systems, taking clear responsibility, and creating real impact in production environments.
Zvalbard is not a traditional consulting company. We bring together experienced engineers, architects, and specialists who work closely with our clients and take responsibility every step of the way—from architecture and design to operations and continuous development. We don't just protect systems. We build them to endure.
Through our stories, we share what this looks like in practice: the journeys of our people, our collaborations, and the initiatives we support, such as 1% for the Planet. This is where our culture, community, and values become visible. The Expedition is where Zvalbard takes shape beyond client engagements.

Project breakdown / What I did
The Expedition
It started with a blank piece of paper. Stepping in as part of the start-up team, my mission was to build a brand from scratch in the complex world of cybersecurity and digital infrastructure. Knowing that the true asset in this industry is people, we merged the harsh endurance of the arctic landscape with modern enterprise tech. We didn’t just create a brand manual and a visual identity, we built a tribe.
Today, that initial vision has grown into a fully realized company. As an ongoing in-house partner, my work spans the entire ecosystem. From shaping the core story to driving continuous employer branding, my focus is always on elevating the humans behind the tech, ensuring the expedition never stops moving forward.
The Everyday Heroes
In a consultancy, the people are the company. To attract top talent and build internal pride, I produced a series of authentic employer branding films.
Moving past corporate clichés, these unfiltered portraits capture genuine personalities, like Carl finding his leadership momentum on an early morning run. It’s a dual-purpose strategy: showing prospective hires exactly who they’ll work alongside, while making the current team feel truly valued.
Engineering the Culture
The true power of Zvalbard stems from its senior engineers, who design systems built to endure. To capture their core philosophy of freedom with responsibility, I scripted, directed, shot, and edited this cultural brand film.
Serving as an unfiltered window into the company, the film weaves together the overarching vision with glimpses of the everyday heroes, featuring cutaways from the individual consultant documentaries I've produced. It is designed to cut through the noise and show top-tier talent exactly what kind of journey they are joining.

Defining The Expedition
How do you stand out in a sea of generic IT consultancies? You shift the focus from servers to humans, and build a narrative around something bigger. We developed Zvalbard’s core concept, The Expedition, and defined their true DNA. It is built on the insight that complex missions require the right mix of specialists, endurance, and shared responsibility, just like a real-life mountaineering expedition.
In this film, I sit down with co-founder Krister to dig deeper into the philosophy behind the name (ITE Zvalbard, where the E stands for Expedition). By combining the roles of concept developer, interviewer, and producer, I translated this strategy into an authentic documentary story, an invaluable tool for building executive trust and attracting the market's top IT architects.

No agencies. Just me and Team Zvalbard.
